Malia is a Partner in EY’s Government Incentives practice, the EY Private Oceania Start-up & Entrepreneurship Leader and proud Mum of two active boys. Often operating at the intersection of industry, Malia supports companies, Government and regulators to achieve collaboration and optimised outcomes, assisting key stakeholders to identify and manage risk and opportunities in accessing alternate funding, grants and incentives for investments, innovation and growth.
 
She is sign off Partner and R&D tax incentive advisor for some of Australia’s largest companies, industry bodies and many start-up and scale-ups. As the EY Private Start-up & Entrepreneurship Leader, Malia supports connecting entrepreneurs, private business and their founders to the best of EY’s people, tools and assets to achieve their ambitions. Malia has received a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce, is an admitted Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is a Member of and holds a Certificate of Public Practice with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ. She sits on the Board of Heads Over Heels and can often be found as a speaker, judge and panellist on the topics of entrepreneurship, diversity, innovation and incentives or supporting entrepreneurs through various incubators and programs, the EY Ripples Corporate Responsibility program, Entrepreneur of the Year, EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women programs and Women.
